
The release date of the upcoming Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 digital camera has been unveiled. The camera will be launched in November 2008 with the price tag of $800. The camera comes equipped with a 14-45m /F3.5-5.6 kit lens. However, the telephoto lens (45-200mm /F4.0-5.6 OIS micro 4/3) will be released in the same month for $350. As a reminder, you can change the lenses of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1. Available in black, red, or blue, the camera is also designed to be easier to use than DSLR cameras. The BenQ DC C1060 compact camera has been unveiled. The digital camera boasts a 10MP sensor with a 3x optical zoom, and a 2.7-inch LCD screen. The DC C1060 also offers a “Super Shake Free” system and Smile Catch. The compact camera is able to record video at 720 x 400 or 640 x 480 resolution. The cool factor for this camera is that it comes with a stylish leather texture grip. No word on pricing or release date yet but, I am sure the BenQ DC C1060 will be released very soon. The CEATEC 2008 is a platform for Sony to unveil its DSC-T77 digital camera, which is touted as the thinnest digital camera in the market today. Measures 3.9mm thick, the digicam features a 3-inch LCD touchscreen with an updated intelligent scene recognition technology, Smile Shutter and face detection technologies, a high sensitivity shooting(up to ISO 3200), and eleven scene modes. The Casio EX-F1 has received the latest firmware update. The firmware 1.10 adds the new “Prerecord Movie” function that allows video capture of 5 seconds before the photographer actually presses the button. This update is compatible with the EX-F1′s 300 fps, 600 fps, 1200 fps, and 30-300 fps high-speed movie modes, the 1,920 x 1,080-pixel full HD movie mode and the 1,280 x 720-pixel HD movie mode.
