Sony today also introduced their latest digital photo frame with Wi-Fi capability at the CEDIA 2008. Known as the VGF-CP1, the device comes with a 7-Inch LCD screen with a resolution of 800×480, 128MB of internal memory, and SD/Memory Stick/CF multicard reader. You can stream photos from your Sony VAIO PC to the device using Google Picasa web albums. The digital frame also supports the built-in RSS reader. Japanese manufacturer Polaroid is ready to release the 3.5-inch digital photo frame in pearl white and black. Known as the XSJ-00350, this photo frame offers 320×240 pixels, 3MB built in memory, and supports all digital memory card formats including SDHC/SD, and MMC. The Polaroid digital frame draws power from AC power or the USB port. Its rechargeable battery provides two hours of battery life. Measuring 94mm × 14mm × 76mm and weighing at 102grams, the Polaroid XSJ-00350 will be released in Japan for $79 later this month. [FarEastGizmos]
LG has come up with their own version of digital photo frame, introducing LG DP889 Digital Picture Frame/DVD Player. But this time, their DP889 unit not only features an 8-inch LCD display but also has an integrated DVD player. It also comes with a 3-in-1 memory card slot, built-in speakers and dual headphone jacks. The supplied battery pack provides up to 3 1/2 hours of playback. Samsung Introduces New Line of Digital Photo Frames. Sanwa Japan has announced the new multi functional photo frame that can plays both audio and video files. The Sanwa PFS-DT800W 8 inch photo frame boasts a 128MB of internal memory that is expandable via SD / MMC card or a Memory Stick. The digital frame comes equipped with a mono speaker, controls for media playback, a remote control, alarm clock, slide show, calender and headphone output. Samsung today unveiled their new digital photo frame. Known as the SPF-83M, the gadget comes equipped with 8 inch SVGA (800 x 600 resolution) display that offers contrast ratio of 500:1 and brightness level of 200cd/m2. Pandigital has announced its new PanTouch line of digital photo frames with a touch-operation interface. Icons on the screen will show users where to touch and slide their fingers on the surrounding matte for control and access to their digital photos, MP3s, and video clips. The device also comes with Bluetooth and WiFi compatible. The Pandigital PanTouch photo frames are available next month and come in 10-inch (1024 x 768), 8-inch (800 x 600) and 7-inch (482 x 234) models.
