
Sony has unveiled its latest digital photo frames at CES 2009. The 10-inch V1000 and X1000 are 15x sharper contrast and is 13 percent brighter than the company’s previous photo frames. The DPF-X1000 frame has 2GB of storage and comes in black with wood trim. Meanwhile, the DPF-V1000 model offers 1GB internal memory and comes in black with silver trim. Both frames are able to connect to Sony BRAVIA HDTVs and other compatible HDTV sets to display your photos in high definition via an HDMI cable, which is sold separately. LG has released three new digital photo frames that can be used as a portable DVD screen with an integrated battery that lasts for up to 3.5 hours of non-stop playback. Other features include HD radio, touch-sensitive controls and easy wall-mounting. You will be able to purchase the 7 inch F7000N-PN, 8.4 inch F8400N-PN and 10.4 inch F1040N-PN models for approximately $125, $175 and $215, respectively. [Weblog Surf]

The latest 7 inch OLED photo frame from Kodak has been released. Amazon is now listing this Flickr-compatible OLED 7.6-inch photo frame as in stock and shipping for $999.95. FYI, the display is a 7.6 inch AMOLED panel, made by CMEL. It has a 16:9 aspect ratio, 800×480 resolution, a white-to-black contrast of 30,000:1. [OLED Info]

Buffalo Japan boasts its new digital photo frame that is compatible with DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance). Dubbed as the Buffalo PF-50WG, the device features an 8-Inch LCD screen (800×600), a 85MB of internal memory, USB port, WiFi b/g, and a multi card reader. Buffalo’s new digital photo frame will be available before the end of this year for 19,800 Yens (€160).

HANNspree is a famous brand for high quality and fashionable LCD displays. The company has recently released two new digital photo frames for Christmas, the 7 inch SD7021 and the 8 inch SD80M4MB. The former provides 8MB of internal memory, which is expandable via a 3-in-1 memory card reader and a USB 2.0 port. The latter comes with three ceramic faceplates and boasts an integrated alarm clock, calendar functions, multimedia playback, a 6-in-1 memory card reader and 256MB of internal memory.
