Sony To Release S-Frame Gift Series

Sony has introduced three new digital photo frames from its S-Frame Gift series. The Sony DPF-C1000, C800, and C70A offer WSVGA-, SVGA- and WQVGA-resolution viewing panels, respectively. These digital photo frames provide an integrated speaker, a picture slideshow mode, a clock/calendar display mode, and an energy-saving timer. Pix-Star WiFi-enabled 10.4-inch Digital Picture Frame

Pix-Star has recently introduced the FotoConnect HD (PXT510WR02) WiFi-enabled digital picture frame. The gadget features a 10.4-inch (800×600) LED display with a 4:3 aspect ratio. Exemode has entered the 3D digital picture frame market by releasing the Exemode PF-3D8. The gadget features the 3D Magic technology, which allows you to enjoy 3D effect without wearing 3D glasses. This new 3D digital picture frame boasts an 8-inch TFT monitor with an 800×600 resolution, a USB 2.0 port and a 2GB of internal memory, which is expandable via SD and SDHC cards. Nikon Corp and Nikon Imaging Japan Inc. will provide a service of converting a 2D picture into a 3D picture and displaying it on a digital photo frame viewable with the naked eye. Dubbed as “my Picturetown 3D”, the service will be launched in early December 2010 in Japan. These 3D pictures can be displayed on the Nikon NF-300i digital picture frame, which is dedicated to the my Picturetown 3D service. For your info, the Nikon NF-300i comes jam packed with a 7.2-inch LCD panel and lenticular lenses on it. 3D images can be viewed within a distance of about 1 meter. The resolutions of 2D and 3D images are both 800 x 600 pixels. The Android 2.1-powered digital picture frame features an Ethernet port supporting 100Base-TX, a USB port and a wireless LAN capability compatible with IEEE802.11b/g. The fee for the “my Picturetown 3D” service is 1,995 Yen ($24.49) per month or 19,950 Yen ($244) per year including rent for the Nikon NF-300i and a fee for converting up to three 2D images into 3D per month.
