
Sony has recently announced the availability of its latest S-Frame DPP-F700 digital picture that offers a built-in photo printer. The device has a 7-inch display with an 800 x 480 resolution, a USB port, and a card reader. Its built-in printer is able to print a 4-inch x 6-inch photo in only 45-seconds. Belling has rolled out the Media Chef digital cookbook. It is actually an 8-inch digital frame that comes preloaded with 48 cooking instructional videos from top chef, Brian Turner. Each purchase comes with a compact remote control to play, pause, or stop the video. In addition, the digital cookbook also functions as a calendar, an MP3 player, or a digital photo frame. iMo has launched an 8-inch (800 x 600) digital photo frame and printer combo gadget, which is known as the iMo Foto Frame Printer. The gadget has a USB input, a slideshow function, an onscreen manual, a remote control, and accepts CF/SD/MS/MMC and xD memory cards. The printer is able to print 6 x 4 glossy picture at 300dpi. Samsung will introduce the P-Series digital picture frame at IFA 2009. The frame features a LED display, a 2GB internal memory to store all of your favorite pictures or videos, Bluetooth 2.0 for file transfer, videos and music playbacks, a remote control, a clock and a calendar. If you think that Jobo’s Curve digital picture frame is too small for you, then check out the new digital photo frame from DreamMaker. Available in white or black, the digital display provides a huge 15-inch LCD screen that is optimized for viewing at 1024 x 768 resolution. You can now show off your family pictures with Jobo’s latest Curve 7 and Curve 8 digital picture frames. Both frames have full-screen and thumbnail modes and can display the images as a slideshow with a limited set of transitions. The Jobo Curve 7 sports a 7-inch color TFT LCD display with a resolution of 480×234 pixels and Zoom mode. Meanwhile, the Jobo Curve 8 features an 8-inch color TFT LCD display with a higher resolution of 800×600 pixels and 4:3 aspect ratio. The Jobo Curve 7 retails for $82 and the Curve 8 for $124. SilverPac has announced a new digital frame at Computex in Taipei that uses Microsoft Windows Embedded 6.0. The gadget comes with a 10.1 inch display with a 1024 x 576 resolution, Bluetooth, an infrared remote, two speakers, and a rotation sensor, that means you can rotate your frame, and it will sense what direction the pictures are and automatically make the adjustment. Using Wi-Fi connectivity, users are able to download photos to this frame from such programs as Picasa, Photobucket, Facebook, and Windows Live. Pictures can also be put in via USB port, multiformat memory card slot, and micro-USB port. Since it runs Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2, the user can easily set up a slideshow with Windows SideShow and Live FrameIt. No word on pricing or availability at this time. The Jobo Plano 8 digital picture frame has an 8-inch (800 x 600) LCD screen with a 400:1 contrast ratio, a multi-card reader, and a USB port for data transfer. Unfortunately, this gadget only supports JPEG files. The Jobo Plano 8 will be available later in June with an AC adapter, remote control, and manual at an MSRP of $129. JOBO comes back with an ultra-thin NANO 7 digital picture frame. Measuring less than 1-cm thin, the 7-inch picture frame is available in Basic, Pro and Media models. The Pro and Media versions have touch activated buttons on the front that become visible by simply touching the bottom front of the picture frame.
