
Sharp has rolled out their latest digital TV tuner in the form of the AQUOS AN-IP100, or also known as the AQUOS Net Tuner. The device supports digital broadcast and allows you to record on an external USB drive any programs or shows you want. The Sharp AQUOS AN-IP100 Digital TV tuner will be launched on October 1st, 2010. No info on pricing at this time. [Akihabara]

Measuring at only 30mm x 29.6mm x 5mm, the Sharp VA1N2WF2121 digital TV tuner is about 70% smaller and 50% thinner than the previous model. Sharp has successfully reduced the numbers of part and elements needed in order to complete such product from 300 parts to just 80 parts. The new Sharp VA1N2WF2121 is compatible with DVB-T, ATSC, ISDB-T/TB, DVB-T/T2 and CTTB, This digital TV tuner can be used in Japan, Europe, North America, China and South America. [Akihabara]

IO-DATA has decided to released a Japan-only Mac TV. Dubbed as the GV-MACTV, the device is actually a digital TV tuner for Mac. The gadget connects to Mac via USB 2.0.
