
Good news for us who lived in the United States, because Panasonic will launch its world’s smallest DSLR, LUMIX DMC-G1, in the United States market. In case you didn’t know, this lightweight DSLR camera adopts the Micro Four Thirds system that eliminates the internal mirror structure that defines digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) cameras. The extreme portable Olympus E-420 is an update version of the E-410 dSLR camera. Weighing only 380 grams, the 10-megapixel E-420 is 20 to 40 percent lighter. The camera also comes bundled with Live View software, which enables users to hold the camera away from their faces and interact with their subjects. Other specs include 2.7-inch LCD, Shadow Adjustment Technology and improved white-balance algorithms. Priced between $500 and $700, Olympus E-420 will be released in May. Check out this hot new DSLR camera by Sigma. The DP1 features a “TRUE” image processing engine, a 2.5-inch LCD, pop-up manual flash, hot shoe, manual or 9-point autofocus modes, and QVGA movie recording capabilities, a 14 megapixel FOVEON X3 sensor and a fixed, 16.6-mm F4 lens. No word on pricing at the moment, however.

The upcoming Samsung GX-20 DSLR camera now has a leaked pic on the net. The specs so far include: sensor-based image stabilization, a 2.7-inch LCD, one-press RAW formatting, and ISO up to 3200 along with ruggedized features as well with resistance to rain, sand, and dust, as well as double dust removal on the image sensor. No other info is available right now.

Sony has got a little something for all those camera nuts out there. The A-200 DSLR alpha-flip camera is of course a DSLR with a flip-screen. No other specs like price, features, or availability are known at the moment. So you camera junkies will have to wait!

Panasonic today introduced the LUMIX L10 digital SLR camera for the Korean market. The camera offers 10.1MP Live MOS sensor and 2.5-inch LCD rotating 270-degree. It also adopts the Face Detection technology and Panasonic’s Intelligent ISO Control settings, which measures the movement of the subject and automatically sets the ISO level to produce crisp and blur-free images. The LUMIX L10 digital SLR camera is priced at around $1650.

Nikon will release its new full-frame digital SLR in Japan. Dubbed as the Nikon D3, the camera features a 12.1MP CMOS imaging sensor and can shoot at nine frames per second with AF tracking or eleven frames per second without. This new DSLR camera also supports up to ISO 6400, and is powered by a newly branded EXPEED image processor, a new 51-point AF sensor, color AF tracking, dual CF compartments, a 3-inch 922,000 pixel LCD monitor with Live View including contrast detect auto-focus, HDMI video output and a virtual horizon function. The Nikon D3 will be released on November 30, 2007.

Olympus Korea has decided to release its new E-3 10MP DSLR camera and DSLR lenses in the Korean market. The camera will be available in Japan in November for $1,750. It features a 10.1M Live MOS sensor along with Olympus’ TruePic III digital processing engine. The E-3 Digital SLR also offers 5 frames-per-second continuous shooting, 1/8000 second top shutter speed, and a dual-axis swivel 2.5-inch Live View LCD covering all the viewing angles from low to high and side to side.
