
Sony updates its N.U.D.E. EX Earphone Series with the new MDR-EX500SL and MDR-EX300SL. These earphones features the multi-layer diaphragm technology that produces high-resolution sound and hybrid silicon earbuds that offers users a more comfortable and secure fit. The Sony MDR-EX500SL offers a frequency response of 5Hz-25,000Hz, a sound pressure level of 106dB/mW, an impedance of 16Ω, and features Neodymium 13.5mm drivers. Meanwhile, the MDR-EX300SL has a frequency response of 5Hz-24,000Hz, a sound pressure level of 105dB/mW, an impedance of 16Ω, and features Neodymium 13.5mm drivers. [Akihabara]

Japan manufacturer Panasonic has decided to release their new RP-HJE900 earphones on June 15th, 2008. These earphone utilities Zirconia, a material generally used in the manufacture of fake diamonds which should suppresses sound distortion. Sony Japan has unveiled the lightweight MDR-AS100W earphones.
