iRiver has recently announced the availability of its latest eBook reader ‘Story‘ in Korea. Priced at 349,000 KRW (about $302), the device is equipped with an 8-inch 600 x 800 E-Ink display, a 2GB storage, a microSD/SDHC card slot, a USB 2.0 port, a comic book viewer and supports for PDF, EPUB, TXT, PDF, DOC, PPT, XLS and HWP eBook formats without requiring their conversion. IWOOT has recently released a new eBook reader ‘Foxit eSlick’ for the UK market. Measuring 7.4-inch x 4.7-inch x 0.4-inch and weighing 6.4 ounces, this slim and and lightweight device sports a 6-inch 600 x 800 E-Ink display, a 512MB of internal memory, a 2GB SD memory card (included), an MP3 player, a headphone jack and supports both PDF and TXT file formats. First Pictures Of Barnes And Noble e-Book Reader

Here are several pictures of the upcoming Barnes and Noble e-Book reader. From these leaked pictures, we can see that the gadget will feature an e-ink screen as expected, but it will be monochrome only. iRex Technologies today unveiled the iRex DR800SG, an 8.1-inch touch-screen e-Book reader that has multi-mode 3G wireless capabilities to access its online bookstore. The gadget will also play nice with several other store formats including Fictionwise, LibreDigital and Newspaper Direct and the universal EPUB format. The iRex DR800SG is powered by a multi-standard Qualcomm Gobi chipset with a 2GB of internal memory to store your favorite titles. Sony PRS-300 and PRS-600 e-book Readers Unveiled

Sony has announced two new e-book readers this week in the form of the PRS-300 and PRS-600. The PRS-300 features a 5-inch LCD display with no audio output and no memory card slot. Weighing at only 220-grams, the gadget provides a 440MB of storage space. Meanwhile, the PRS-600 comes equipped with a 6-inch touchscreen display with audio output and an SD/MS memory card slot. Jointech today introduced the new JE100 e-book reader that features a 7-inch LCD touchscreen display, which means the device will require more juice than the regular e-ink display. Its 1,500mAh battery only provides between 3 to 6 hours of operation time. The JE100 has a 400MHz processor, a 128MB flash memory, a 64MB RAM, a couple of USB port, and an integrated speaker. Brother Japan's Latest e-Book Reader

It seems that Brother wants to play in e-Book reader market by releasing the SV-100B. Dubbed as a “Document Viewer”, the gadget comes equipped with a 9.7 inch display at 1,200 x 825 resolution (150dpi), can display up to 5000 pages, 83 hours of battery life, and a microSD slot. It comes with a 2GB microSB for storing up to 10,000 pages. The e-Book reader can be connected to a PC via Bluetooth. No info on pricing or availability so far. [Brother]
