Genius has released its new eco-friendly mouse namely the DX-ECO. This wireless battery-free mouse features a 1,600 DPI BlueEye optical sensor and a built-in gold capacitor that can be quickly charged in 3 minutes. The Genius DX Eco also uses the 2.4 GHz wireless technology that offers a range of 15 meters. Additional specs include several hot keys, a “flying” scroll wheel and a rubber insert. PowerTrekk Water-powered Smartphone Charger

PowerTrekk has unveiled the water-powered smartphone charger at the International CES 2012. This gadget is ideal for use for users who spend time away from the electricity grid. It is easy to use. You just need to pour water in the tray, place a cartridge in the tray and then connect with your smartphone via USB port. This eco-friendly smartphone charger provides around the same energy as four AA batteries and delivers around 10 hours of phone battery life. Sony Introduces Paper-powered Bio Battery

Sony has recently introduced the paper-powered bio battery at Eco-Products 2011 in Tokyo. This eco-friendly battery uses a special enzyme called cellulase to change paper into glucose, which is needed to generate the electricity. The cellulase acts as a catalyst, so it can be reuse several times. The company claims that the paper-powered bio battery can generate up to 18Wh of electricity, which is equal to the amount of energy that can be generated by six AA batteries. Read more

Toshiba has unveiled the Regza 32BE3 32-inch eco-friendly LCD TV, which features an Eco mode that changes the brightness and contrast based on ambient lighting saving more power. This LCD TV features a 1,366 × 768 pixel resolution, a USB port and a high power capacitor that consumes 0 Watt of power on standby mode. CTL Releases Three New Eco-friendly LED Monitors

CTL has released three new widescreen LED monitors, the 22-inch LP2151, 24-inch LP2361 and 27-inch LP2701. These monitors feature a 16:9 display ratio, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, a 2ms response time, a 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and a 300 cd/m2 brightness. Other specs include HDMI, DVI and analog inputs. All three of them are also Energy Star-rated, Epeat-certified, and consume 40% less energy compared to a standard display.
