Samsung has decided to launch the F2EG HDD series in Korea. Available in 500GB, 1TB or 1.5TB, these SATA 7200rpm HDDs are eco-friendly thanks to Samsung’s EcoTriangle technology involving eco-friendly materials as well as being less greedy in energy. The company claims that its 500GB model of F2EG HDD series consume 43% less energy than its competitor. [Akihabara]

David Keith and his team have designed the Carbon Dioxide Scrubber that captures CO2 straight from the air and purify it. Dubbed as the eCO2, this personal scrubber unit relies on kinetic energy to power it, pulling in air via intake vents to collect CO2 and expelling clean air through its exhaust vents. If you love Champagne, then check out the Moet Bottle Clock that was made from a real Moet Champagne bottle. The bottle has been heated to melting point and flattened to create a flat bottle shape. The labels have been re-applied to make it appear as if the bottle has been squashed flat. Still remember the Asus 12-inch Bamboo laptop that we mentioned last year? The pricing for the 12 inch version of this bamboo laptop has been unveiled. The LawnPC is a new green PC concept that does not run on electricity, but is self powered with the solar-cell embedded in the grass like lawn located above the case. The artificial green grass is made from natural cotton fabric which features integrated inkjet printed solar cells, generating around 60 watts per hour. Grundig has released another eco-friendly LCD TV. The Grundig Vision 6 LCD TV will be available in 26, 32, 37 and 42 inches. The LCD screen adopts an integrated DVB-T receiver and supports a resolution of 1336 x 768, contrast ratio of 10000:1(HD ready) and comes with Grundig’s proprietary Perfect Picture plus technology. Other cool specifications are include SRS Tru surround system, USB port and three HDMI ports. This eco-friendly LCD panel draws no energy in standby mode and only needs 76Watts when fully operational, 48% less than comparable models.
