Kim Joonmin has designed the Electrolux Dishwasher L concept. It is actually a combination of a dishwasher and a lamp. The idea is to have a functional light stationed right above the dining table, so that you have easy access to routine dishes like plates and spoons. If you think your blender makes too much noise, then check out the Electrolux Powermix Silent. It is not an ordinary blender, because it produces about 80dB of noise, which is similar to being inside a car at 50MPH. As a comparison, the average blender produces sound levels between 90dB – 95dB or equal to the sound of a motorcycle. The Electrolux Powermix Silent can be used any time of the day or night without disturbing a conversation or a sleeping child. This home appliance uses a patented Sound Reduction System, a unique combination of reduced vibrations and airflow. The Electrolux Powermix Silent was developed in Brazil and designed in Sweden. Designed by Mika Yamamoto, the Electrolux WAVE Ultra Sonic Wine Ager and Fridge will create a delicious aged wine for you. The fridge features a two-layered shelf structure with inner walls that emit ultrasonic waves. These waves are said to react with wine molecules to age them. There is a custom touchscreen that helps you navigate through the settings, helping you determine the speed of aging at the touch of a button. Sadly, the Electrolux WAVE is only a concept. Read more

Designed by Yuriy Dmitriev, the Electrolux Bio Robot Refrigerator is a concept where the Bio Robot cools biopolymer gel through luminescence. A non-sticky gel surrounds the food item when shoved into the biopolymer gel, creating separate pods. The design features no doors or drawers, and the food items are individually cooled at their optimal temperature thanks to the robot. Read more

Toshiba has joined with Electrolux to designed the Escargot Cyclone Vacuum Cleaner (a.k.a VC-Z100L). Weighing at just 2.2Kg, the vacuum cleaner works quieter than a hair dryer at 65dB. Unfortunately, the Escargot is currently available only in the Japanese market. It is priced at 11,550 Yen or around $130. [Akihabara]

Electrolux has unveiled their latest design concept, the “Silence Amplified” Vacuum Cleaner, which is actually a concept version of their recently released UltraSilencer Vacuum cleaner. This concept vacuum cleaner features a built-in iPod dock and a set of speakers, so you can listen to your favorite music and clean your room at the same time. Electrolux has also conducted a lab study with a series of tests to see how people react when vacuuming to music. One of the results is that vacuuming to music gets the job done faster, with less stress, and it can even result in some more calories burned. [Electrolux]

Electrolux is out with its new energy efficient washing machine which is capable to reduce energy consumption up to 40%. Dubbed as the Electrolux Sunny Washing Machine, the machine consists of dual heating system: solar-heated as well as gas-heated. Whenever there’s sufficient sunlight you can rely on its solar-powered heater to provide your clothes with warm water, but you can also switch over to gas-heated source when needed.
