Dubbed as the Merc Alpha and Beta, both gaming enclosures provide ample expansion possibilities, including three 5.25-inch, seven 3.5-inch, and one 2.5-inch drive bays. There are seven PCI slots that accommodate a wealth of expansion cards. Aside from the included 120mm fan on the top, the Merc Alpha can be fully loaded with additional seven 120mm fans, while the Merc Beta can accommodate five extra 120mm fans. Century has recently unveiled a new external HDD enclosure, which features a cooling fan and an LCD monitor. Dubbed as the Century CLS35EU3BF, the 3.5-inch SATA HDD enclosure has an 8cm fan that is powered by a USB 3.0 cable, while the LCD display shows several important information about the drive including the temperature and the fan speed. Logitec Japan today unveiled its new eSATA HDD enclosure, the LHR-DS04EU2. What makes this HDD enclosure interesting is that it comes with a “slot-in” type configuration, allowing you to easily swap drives without having to dismount it every single time you need to change its internal drive. Century Japan today unveiled the new Century Razoku Line CRIB535EUF super-combo external hard drive bay that can hold five hot-swappable 3.5-inch SATA HDDs. Measuring 5.1-inch x 7.3-inch x 10.2-inch and weighing 7.3 lbs, the storage device supports hard drives of up to 3TB per bay for a total of up to 15TB of storage space.
