Pioneer will be releasing two new 7.1 AV amplifiers at the end of June known as the VSA-LX51, and VSA-1018AH. Both amps support HDMI 1.3 (3 input / 1 out), Dolby NR TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, Dolby digital plus, and DTS EXPRESS. They also come with an USB port to play MP3, WMA, AAC files and the LX51 (only) has an additional video upscaler to upscale an image to 720p and 1080p. Denon has just launched a new home entertainment system with an amplifier (RCD-M37) and two speakers (SC-M37) that give an output power of 30Wx2, a frequency response of 45Hz-45,000Hz, a pressure level of 86dB, and an impedance of 6Ω. The M37 can also read CD/CD-R/W, MP3 files, has a USB port and an AM/FM tuner. Now you can connect an iPod dock as well as control your iPod with the remote control. LG will be releasing a new home theater system called the HT953TVP Xcanvas. It not only comes with a DVD player with 1080p scaling, it also features an Mp3 player, as well as VSM or Virtual Sound Matric which simulates an 10.1 audio system. JVC/Victor of Japan has released another model of speakers called the SX-M3. These speakers feature 3M:“M”usic, “M”agnesium, “M”echanical Base Mount, a magnesium tweeter and medium, a frequency response of 50Hz – 65,000Hz, a sensitivity of 88dB, and a rating impedance of 6Ω. The HTZ-373DV features a HDMI output in 1080p, can decode Dolby NR Digital, Dolby NR Professional Logic II, and DTS formats, and has support for MP3 and WMA files along with five 60W surround speakers, one 60W subwoofer, and one 30W central speaker. Panasonic has released the SC-BT100 home theater system for the US this Spring for $1,000. It features a special connection to external devices, such as a video recorder or console, a Blu-ray player that supports just Profile 1.1, and functions without wires and bulky cords.
