
Philips has just released the new DCP951 DVD player. The DCP951 has support for DVD along with support for DVD +/-R and DVD +/-RW, VCD, DivX, and MPEG4 movies. The DVD player doubles as an iPod touch dock,so you can view and charge at ease. The DCP951 also has an SD/MMC memory card slot to view short movies and digital photos files and has a 9″ LCD display. Yidsun will be dropping 4 new bluetooth powered speakers. The BlueBoomseries comes with at least two speakers, playback controls and audio input for your A2DP bluetooth gadget such as your cell phone and MP3 players. Yidsun will be launching the SPK-798, SPK-798i, SPK-799i, and the SPK-799. The 798 offers about 50 watts of power and a subwoofer. While the two “i†models come with an iPod docking station. Check out the latest AV speaker from Yamaha called the YSP-600. It offers 62W (2Wx16ch and 15Wx2ch), support for Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby Pro Logic II, DTS, DTS Neo, AAC, PCM, has two HDMI input and one output with support for 1080p25/50 and 60, Hitachi Wooo Link, Regza Link from Toshiba, and Viera Link from Panasonic. IO Data will be releasing theDiXiM HVL4-G2.0 NAS for the new Regza ZH500s. It’s compliant with the latest DLNA / DTCP-IP standards to record TV shows with the network, space for four drives up to 2 TB in a RAID 5 array, for a space room of up to 1.5 TB, records on Toshiba’s TVs only as of right now, and can be found in Japan later this month for 111,615 or $1,090 US. Looks like Buffalo will be dropping their LinkTheater HD-streamer. Their LT-H90LAN model features 720p and 1080i output, support for streaming content from both Macs and PCs, USB hard drives and DLNA-compliant media servers. It also features anHDMI output, component video and optical audio connections and of course 10/100 LAN port. The LT-H90LAN will hit shelves this month for $199. [Gearlog]

Bird Electron has just announced the Ezison 0 passive speaker. It hooks up to a 3.5mm plug which allows it to get power from the source itself. Unfortunately it doesn’t come with volume controls but instead has a switch to change between High and Low output. These speakers will retail for $70 in Japan and are available in red and white colors as well as gold, silver and blue with a metallic finish. [NewLaunches]

Audio-Technica has dropped 2 new models of DAP speakers. The first one is the AT-SP250 which can be hooked up to any iPod as well as the iPhone and iPod Touch. The other one is called the AT-SP230 which can be used with all digital audio players including all models and brands. No word on when and how much these are going for, but they shouldn’t be pricey considering they’re pretty basic. [Akihabara]

Here is a smaller version of the KEF Egg speakers from the British company’s famous 3000-series KHT home theater speakers. They’re made of chocolate so you snack on these as well as freak your friends out by eating your speakers. [CNET]
