
Envision has released a new 42-inch , 1080p LCD tv called the L42H761. Itfeatures a 1080p panel, twin HDMI ports, S/PDIF digital audio out, a PC input (with audio), digital ATSC / ClearQAM tuner, 172-degree viewing angles, 3-D comb filter and “color enhancement / noise reduction features. EPI will drop two Envisioned-Branded LCD monitors including the 19-inch Envision G917w1 and the 22-inch Envision G2219w1. The 19-inch features a 1440 x 900 resolution and a 3,000:1 contrast ratio, while the other features a 1680 x 1050 resolution and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. Both models have HDCP-capable DVI ports as well as a 5 ms response time and full compliance with Energy Star and ROHS standards. Both will hit stores in April with the 19-incher going for $200 and the 22-inch model for $270.

LCD tv’s usually don’t come cheap, but Envision has kept everyone in mind when they made the Omni. It has ATSC and QAM tuners, a response time of 8ms, S/PDIF audio output; and resolution at 720p/1080i. The 42″ L42W761 has a contrast ratio of 1,200:1 and two HDMI inputs, the 32″ L32W761 has a contrast ratio of 1,500:1 and only one HDMI input, and lastly the 26″ L26W761 has a contrast ratio of 800:1 with one HDMI input as well. The L42, L26 and L32 will retail for $999, $479 and $649. No info on release date yet, but it should be soon. Hopefully you can watch TV as well as your cool DVD collection with high quality!
