Logitec today launched a new series of 100Mbps Ethernet Hub, the LAN-SW/PS. Available in 3, 5 and 8 LAN ports, the Logitec LAN-SW/PS requires only 82% less energy compared to the previous model. Thanko Japan today introduced a new and interesting HDMI to Ethernet converter. Known as the AV HDREL 2, the device is a two-way solution, allowing you to send video and audio from an HDMI source to an HDMI-capable receiver via Ethernet connection. The Thanko AV HDREL 2 allows you to watch a DVD on a TV and control your DVD player, which is up to 40-meter away from your position. ViewSonic has released not one but two new projectors for the mass market, which is known as the PJD6251 and PJL9371. The ViewSonic PJD6251 is a 3D-ready projector designed for conference rooms or classroom settings and has a 1024×768 native resolution with a 2,800:1 contrast ratio and 3,700 lumens of brightness. The projector also provides HDMI, Composite, S-Video and VGA inputs, and Ethernet for remote control via a local network. Meanwhile, the ViewSonic PJL9371 is specially designed for larger facilities such as auditoriums, and provides a maximum screen resolution of 1024×768 with a contrast ratio of 2,000:1 and a brightness of 4,000 lumens.
