Eton today announced the availability of the Rukus solar-powered Bluetooth sound system. The Rukus features a pair of 2.25-inch drivers with a 14-watt amplifier, an energy-efficient E-ink SURF segmented display and a monocrystal solar panel. This eco-friendly sound system draws its power from a built-in Li-ion 7.4V 1500mAh battery. It takes about 6 hours in direct sunlight to fully recharge the internal lithium battery. Additional specs include a small mesh pouch, a USB port and Bluetooth with AVRCP/A2DP profile support. Available in black, the Eton Rukus solar-powered Bluetooth sound system will be launched in the second quarter of 2012 for $150 each. [Earth Techling]
The rugged Raptor by Eton Corporation features a built-in 1,800mAh Lithium-ion battery that can be juiced via a solar power or a DC connection. The solar charger has a built-in AM/FM/WB digital radio tuner with presets, NOAA weather alerts and a digital clock with an alarm function.
