
Pioneer will be dropping several Blu-ray players in Europes. The first being the 2.0-compliant BDP-LX91, Designer BDP-LX08 and BDP-LX71 and the BDP-51FD. All feature 1080p24 support, HDMI 12-Bit Deep Color support, KURO LINK, DTS-HD Master Audio / Dolby True HD compatibility and professional-quality Wolfson Digital Audio Converters (DACs). Ni word on prices for any of them. However, the BDP-LX71 is said to drop in September, the BDP-51FD / BDP-LX08 in October and the BDP-LX91 sometime in the Winter. [Engadget]

MTV fans will be glad to hear that Sony Ericsson has launched a new phone called the 760i MTV Edition in Europe. It features GPS and cutting-edge gaming, enhanced music quality, and is the first truly global Walkman phone with tri-band HSDPA so you can have broadband speed downloads of the latest music and content anywhere in the world. Clarion will be launching two new portable navigation devices in Europe called the MAP680 and MAP780. The MAP680 and MAP780 are slightly different because of the maps loaded in: the 690 is available in four regional versions and the other has a whole 43 European countries. Both feature a 4.3-inch widescreen display, text-to-speech, built-in TMC tuner, 3D display of buildings / POIs, lane assistant, bluetooth (with phone book transfer and audio streaming), a 400MHz CPU, multimedia player and 2GB (MAP780) / 1GB (MAP680) of internal memory. Balupunkt will be launching their new TravelPilot line-up which consists of the TravelPilot 100, 200 and 300. The TravelPilot 100 and 200 feature 3.5-inch QVGA screens. The 300 has 4.3-inches at 480 x 272 as far as a display screen goes. All three run on Windows CE 5.0, the 200 and 300 include traffic receivers, and the 300 includes bluetooth along with maps of Western Europe. Europe has announced that they will be making the DVB-H format for mobile TV’s the norm in order to accelerate the deployment of mobile television services throughout Europe like GSM standardization in the 90’s. Also the new mobile TV of choice will be Nokia instead of Qualcomm. Looks like Europe is moving on up as far as mobile television is concerned.

The Medion E3212 has hit Europe and only costs 120 Euros. It comes with GoPal 4.0 software, a 3.5†display and real-time traffic updates. It’s still unknown whether or not Americans will be able to get in on this cheap European navigation system. [UberGizmo]

Europe will be happy to know that the Palm Centro has released today in Europe and should be pretty cheap. The entry-level smart phone will be powered by Palm OS and will be available in red. Other specs haven’t been revealed, so Europeans will just have to check it out.

Pioneer will release a navigation system in Europe branded as the NavGate 500 aka the AVIC-F500BT. The NavGate 500 features a 5.8″ WVGA 800 x 480 resolution display, Hands-free Bluetooth kit from Parrot, RDS/TMC module for traffic information, Voice commands, a 600MHz processor, and a SiRF Star III GPS chip. The NavGate 500 will ship with maps form TeleAtlas in 30 European countries in May and will retail for €699.
