Everex’s 15.4-inch VA1500V is now at NewEgg for a low price of $399.99. The VA1500V offers a 1.5GHz VIA C7-M processor, WXGA+ (1,440 x 900) resolution panel, half a gig of DDR2 RAM, a 60GB 5400RPM hard drive, DVD combo drive and a lackluster integrated graphics set, a gOS v2 “Rocket” operating system, an ethernet port, 802.11b/g WiFi, three USB ports, VGA out, audio in / out and a 3-cell Li-ion. The VA1500V seems a little too cheap for all it has. [Laptoping via Laptop Blog]

Looks like the Everex CloudBook desktop has finally started to ship and will go for about $500. It features an Intel T2130 dual-core 1.86GHz processor, 512MB of DDR2 RAM, a 120GB hard drive, a DVD writer, gigabit ethernet, a 4-in-1 memory card reader and graphics powered by Intel’s graphics media accelerator GMA950. Expect to see this baby in March, which is very soon. [TCmag]

Everex seems so sure about this 9-inch CloudBook, when they haven’t even released the 7-inch model scheduled this coming weekend. But that’s the fact, the follow up model will soon be available later this year. Aside from the larger display, no other specs are available, with 30 GB drive and full keyboard Everex plans to keep the device at or under $500.
