Hitachi has upgraded its SimpleDrive external hard drive series by releasing the 2TB model. Priced at $249.99, the Hitachi 2TB SimpleDrive boasts a Turbo USB 2.0 interface, which is reported to be 25% faster than traditional USB 2.0 interface. This vertical external hard drive is also available in 500GB and 1TB versions. The 500GB model is priced at $99.99, meanwhile the 1TB model retails for $129.99. Toshiba has launched three new external HDDs that can fit in the palm of your hand. Available in three colors, each corresponds different storage capacity. Gecko green for 160 GB, Hot rod red for 250 GB and Carbon Grey for 320 GB. The drives are also equipped with internal shock sensor so you don’t have to worry about everyday wear and tear.
