Toshiba Releases Updated Version Of Canvio 3.0 And Canvio Basics 3.0 External HDDs

Toshiba today introduced the updated version of its Canvio 3.0 and Canvio Basics 3.0 external HDDs. Both models support the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface and a cloud backup capability. The Toshiba Canvio 3.0 comes bundled with the NTI BackupNow EZ software for the Microsoft Windows. What makes this backup software interesting is that it can automatically scan your computer to backup important files to the cloud or to the connected portable storage device. The Toshiba Canvio Basics 3.0 is an entry-level model that has a smaller design than its predecessor. Buffalo Japan today launched a new ultra-slim USB 2.0 portable DVD drive, the DVSM-PC58U2V. Powered by the USB port, this slim portable DVD drive supports an 8x DVD+/-R read/write speed. LaCie today announced that the Little Big Disk Thunderbolt series is currently available via Apple Store. What makes this storage device special is that it adopts the Thunderbolt technology that supports up to 10Gb/s speeds.
