FDA Has Approved Ornim CerOx 3210F Monitor

Ornim has received the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance to market its CerOx 3210F monitor for non-invasive brain oximetry and blood flow monitoring. The CerOx 3210F device uses a single, non-invasive probe for simultaneously and independently measuring both oximetry and blood flow parameters, together providing a clear indication of tissue perfusion. All doctors need to do is attach the sensors (that have adhesive pads) to a part of the patient’s body. Currently it is also the only non-invasive continuous blood flow monitoring device available in the world though there’s been no word on when we’ll start seeing it being used in hospitals. [MDBR]
