If your flash drive can’t handle your wild lifestyle then what good is it really? You saved that data there because it is important and if the flash drive can’t adapt then it is not a good product. Thankfully, there are drives out there to keep up with your wild adventures, like the new LaCie XtremKey Flash Drive. It is protected by a 2mm thick metal pipe casing that is sealed by water resistant screw heads and a rubber O-ring, making it waterproof up to 100 meters. It will start to release in August with the 8GB version costing $50. [PCWorld]

Nowadays with flash drives being able to come in such huge capacities while still remaining relatively compact, we wonder why some companies even bother making hard drives with small amounts of storage space. The exception would be hard drives that are super cool like this Voltron Nekobot Flash Drive. The drive holds a small but manageable 2GB after you split him apart at the waist. It is definitely cool and passable in terms of memory, but we wonder why they didn’t just add a bit more. [PlasticandPlush]

When it comes to flash drives, it is pretty hard to still be surprised at the shapes that they are coming in these days. That being said, this one is leaving us scratching our heads a bit. This USB flash drive comes in 2, 4 and 8GB capacities and is shaped like a pipe cutter. Mind you, it is not a functional cutter, it only looks like one. That means that this one is presumably being released for people who are just big fans of pipe cutters. All seven of them. This one is getting filed under both the “funny” and “who came up with this?” categories. [Brando]

If the thought has been crossing your mind lately about how you can look good and keep your data close all at the same time, then we think we have just found your solution. These are the new Silver Cufflinks with 2GB of Data Storage. The cufflinks come in a set of two, and are made out of .925 silver with a rhodium plate. One of the two cufflinks features the USB flash storage drive with 2GB of internal storage. It may be a bit steep for a 2GB flash drive, but the price is about right for silver cufflinks.
