Fujitsu has decided to upgraded its LifeBook T5010, T1010, P1630 and T2020 convertible Tablet PCs with AT&T’s BroadbandConnect High-Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) network support. The HSUPA mobile broadband support adds $150 to the overall cost of the selected Tablet PC configuration. Fujitsu also announced that the LifeBook T5010 Tablet PC and the LifeBook E8420 notebook will receive EVDO connectivity support in the second quarter of 2009. [Fujitsu via Laptop Notebook News]
Fujitsu introduced their new air conditioner that comes with presence sensors, so that it will turn off when you are accidentally left the air conditioner on. Fujitsu Nocria air conditioners come with a horizontal sensitivity range of 120° – that’s roughtly 10m in linear distance. The power saving operation will turn off the air conditioner whenever there aren’t people in the room for a certain period of time. The Nocria series will also turn itself down 10 minutes after not detecting any activity, and shut down completely after three hours. NTT DoCoMo and Fujitsu have joined to release the Japanese Foma F905i mobile phone for the Taiwanese market. The phone has a large 3.2 inches display screen (480×864 resolution) which is called “Width Motion”. Fujitsu introduced its 5400 RPM external hard disk drives at 2009 CES. Dubbed as the HandyDrive MMH2 UB series, the device is available in capacities of 500GB, 400GB, 320GB and 250GB in a portable 2.5-inch design. Measuring 137.5mm x 83.5mm x 15mm, the drive also comes with a software that allows users to manage partitions, a password lock tool that protects data if a drive is lost or stolen, and Acronis True Image Personal HDD software, which provides fast and easy data backup.
