Fujitsu Releases 2.5-inch 300GB Portable Hard Drive

Fujitsu rolled out the world’s highest capacity 2.5-inch external hard drive which is specially designed for the busy mobile professionals. The hard drive features a sleek design and offers 300GB storage capacity, 4200rpm speed, 16-point shock absorber, security/back up software and an integrated USB 2.0 cable. It draws power from your laptop or desktop so no need for an additional adapter. Fujitsu’s new 2.5-inch external hard drive sells for $229. The device also comes in a 120GB/5400RPM version for $129.

Fujitsu FMV-T8140 Tablet PC

Fujitsu’s latest offering is the 12.1-inch FMV-T8410 light weight tablet PC that features 1.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo U7500 ultra low voltage processor, up to 4GB RAM, 1,280×800 resolution, 30GB hard drive (or 32GB SSD), DVD super multiple drive, 802.11a/b/g wireless, fingerprint reader, 6.8 hours of battery life, and Windows Vista operating system. The tablet PC will be available next month for around $2,650.

Fujitsu Lifebook E8410 Santa Rosa Laptop

The new Fujitsu LifeBook E8410 adopts Intel’s latest Santa Rosa platform. The laptops provides a 15.4 inch display, NVIDIA GeForce 8400M graphics card, a 120GB hard drive, an integrated 1.3MP webcam, USB 2.0, and memory stick/SD card slots. The Fujitsu LifeBook E8410 SD20VP will be priced at approx. $1700, while the Fujitsu LifeBook E8410 SD22VP at around $1900. They are currently available in Korea.

Fujitsu managed to create a SATA 2.5 inches hard drive which offers a 250GB storage capacity. Dubbed as the MHY2BH, the drive goes on sale today. It is only 9 millimeter thick and offers 8MB cache at a speed of 5.400 rpm.

The New Fujitsu Lifebook Laptops

There are two new Fujitsu Lifebooks that will be released very soon. The Lifebook E8410/8490 and the Lifebook A6030 will support a 15.4-inch WUXGA or WSXGA display, an Intel 2.4-GHz Core 2 Duo processor and will be featured 802.11 a/b/g. No word on pricing or availability. Stay tuned for more updates!

Fujitsu’s Eclipse AVN2210P GPS navigation system will be launched this spring for approximately $900. The device comes in a double DIN-sized audio unit with a factory-fit console appearance that comes with the ability to attach the navigation section when required. This gadget allows you carry your portable navigation device around with you long after you’ve parked your car. The AVN2210P boasts a 3.5 inch TFT display, an SD memory card slot, an integrated GPS antenna, built-in speakers, Bluetooth connectivity, and a rechargeable battery.

Fujitsu LifeBook S2210 Business Laptop

The Fujitsu LifeBook S2210 is a new laptop from Fujitsu Computer Systems Corporation that provides a thin 13.3-inch XGA display and is powered by AMD Turion 64 X2 dual-core processor at 1.6GHz and ATI Radeon X1150 graphics with up to 256MB of shared graphics memory. The laptop also sports up to 4GB of main memory and boasts up to 100GB SATA 5400rpm hard drive. Other specs include Atheros Super AG Wireless LAN, Gigabit Ethernet, a 56k modem, and variety of ports and slots including PCMCIA slot, three USB ports, external monitor and TV outputs, FireWire and Memory Stick PRO/Secure Digital card slot. Priced at $1,299, the Fujitsu LifeBook S2210 comes with Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista Business or Windows Vista Home Basic.

CES 2007 - Forget Fingerprints with the PalmSecure

Fujitsu introduces the PalmSecure device at CES 2007. This new technology will replace the biometric security that uses fingerprints in the near future. It uses palm vein authentication, offering a security solution that is much harder to forge. You just need to place your palm above the device, and then a special algorithm template will determine whether you are eligible to login or not. The PalmSecure retails for $750 each.
