HyON today introduced its new GPS navigation gadget with PMP. Dubbed as the Xent X3, the device has a T-DMB receiver that allows you to you watch digitally broadcast on the go. The Xent X3 is running on a 500Mhz Alchemy processor with 128MB of SDRAM and a 7 inch LCD screen. The gadget also supports SD cards for memory expansion.

The Ruvo, a Malaysian company, has unveiled its new UMPC that is similar to the Gigabyte U60. This UMPC comes loaded with a 1.2 GHz VIA C7-M processor and the VIA VX700 chipset. There is no further info on this gadget. Stay tuned for more updates.

Sony New Bravia Home Theater Projector

TrustedReviews has reviewed the Sony Bravia VPL-VW200 SXRD, which is the company’s latest home theater projector. It features 1080p full HD 24p true cinema resolution courtesy of a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens. The device has a contrast ratio of 35,000 x 1, a brightness level of 800 lumens, 2.5ms of response time, and a 100MHz of frame rate. Priced at 17,300 (£8,500), the VPL-VW200 only provides two HDMI 1.3 ports. Here is a verdict.

Perhaps disappointingly however this cinematic monster only supports two HDMI 1.3 ports when we have been getting used to three, but it does sport component, S-video and Composite and will run ultra quiet at 22dB.

Sharp has recently introduced their new portable media player with T-DMB TV function in the Korean market. Known as the SP700, the gadget comes jam packed with a 4.3-inch LCD screen, built-in T-DMB receiver, voice recorder, e-book reader, 10 dictionaries including English, Chinese, and Korean, and SD card slot. The Sharp SP700 PMP retails for around $522.

The Samsung Yepp YP-P2 will be released tomorrow. That’s right! This gadget is one of the iPod Touch competitors. Measuring 9.9mm thick, it features a 3 inch 16:9 wide OLED touchscreen (480 x 272 pixel), and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity. Samsung Korea will be launching SMS or Samsung Media Studio, which is a Korea only service where users can download music and videos. Available in Blue, White and Red, the 2GB version retails for $220, while the 4GB model for $261 and 8GB for $315.

Yamaha YSP-500 Produces Virtual Surround Sound

What makes the Yamaha YSP-500 cool is that it can “analyze” your room and manages its internal speakers to produce the sound to create a virtual surround sound. Measuring 24-inches long, the speaker system features 18 individual sound beam drivers and support “Dolby digital, DTS, Dolby Pro Logic II and DTS Neo:6. The Yamaha YSP-500 retails at $647 in Japan.
