Garmin has recently rolled out the new nuvi 1450 GPS navigation device for $449.99 a pop. Measuring 5.4-inch x 3.4-inch x 0.6-inch and weighing 7.8-ounces, the gadget comes equipped with a huge 5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels and a white backlight. Its battery provides up to three hours of operation time. You will also benefit from two years subscription of the Garmin nuLink service which consists of useful applications including local Google search, white page listings, real-time traffic and flight status updates, and the Latitude-like Ciao service. The nuvi 1690 will also save you gas and money with ecoRoute. It is a green feature that calculates the most fuel-efficient route, tracks fuel usage and more. Garmin nuvi 1690 PND Details Emerge

Details of Garmin’s upcoming Personal Navigation Device ‘nuvi 1690′ have emerged over on the FCC website. It’s said that this connected PND will feature a built-in cellular modem, an in house service called nuinfo allowing users to search for information through Google Local search and Bluetooth connectivity. Garmin Foretrex 401 GPS Navigation Gadget

Garmin has updated its GPS navigation gadget series by releasing the new Foretrex 401. The gadget has a 1.4-inch x 0.9-inch display screen with a 2-axis digital compass, a barometric altimeter, and a USB port to connect to a computer. The Foretrex 401 is about 20% smaller than its predecessor (Foretex 201 and 101). This navigation device requires two AAA batteries that can last up to 24 hours. Garmin Oregon 550 & 550t GPS With 3.2MP Camera

Garmin has introduced two new personal navigators in the form of the Oregon 550 and Oregon 550t. Both devices are equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera for taking geotagged photos, a 3-inch sunlight-readable touchscreen display, a 3-axis compass, a 850MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a USB port, a waterproof casing and powered by a pair of rechargeable AA NiMH batteries which are good for about 16 hours. The main difference between both devices is that the Oregon 550 ($499.99) only has the standard shaded-relief worldwide basemap, meanwhile the Oregon 550t ($599.99) comes preloaded with 100K topological maps for the US, with 3D elevation perspectives.
