Gigabyte today launched a new Gigabyte Netbook M912V tablet PC that comes with a 8.9-inch swivel touch screen display and Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor with Intel 945GSE chipset. The tablet also adopts 2.5 inch 160GB SATA hard drive, 1GB DDR2 RAM, Express Card slot, optional HSDPA, and a built-in 1.3MP webcam. The Gigabyte unveiled its new M912 Mini Note. This tablet PC features a 8.9-inch touchscreen LCD, a 1.6GHz Atom CPU with 1GB of memory. Its hard drive provides a storage capacity from 120GB to 250GB depending on the exact model. Gigabyte Taiwan announced that they have created the world’s first 3.5G GPS/AGPS wireless modem which they are displaying at CeBIT, Germany. Known as the MD800, the data card features a choice of three interfaces including Express card, mini USB, and PCMCIA. The device also sports 3.5G networks capability, GPS and A-GPS. Gigabyte Communications will launch the new T600 cellphone sometime next month in Taiwan. The device offers support for digital TV standards (DVB-T and DVB-H) and DAB radio. For your info, the T600 is the first handset from Gigabyte Communications to feature a 640 x 480 VGA display. It will be available in black or white. Pricing is still in mystery.

Gigabyte GSmart Q60 Will Be Released This June

The GSmart Q60 is a new smartphone from Gigabyte Communications. The handset is targeted toward the professional market. List of specs include support for WCDMA and HSDPA that allows users to surf the Internet at speeds of up to 1.8Mbps. In addition, the company is now liaising with regional telecom providers offering 3.5G services in order to roll the GSmart Q60 out as part of a subscription package. The GSmart Q60 will be released in June this year. The price is still unknown.
