AMD has confirmed it plans to launch ATI Radeon HD 5400 and HD 5500-series products before the middle of February 2010, as part of its aim to provide excellent graphics with Microsoft DirectX 11 technology support for mainstream markets. The HD 5450 is a successor to the previous generation ATI HD 4650/4550/4350 graphics cards, while the HD 5570 will target the mid-range market. Sadly, there is no info on pricing at this time. Here’s the latest addition to MSI’s graphics card line-up, the Radeon HD 5670 (codenamed R5670-PMD1G). Featuring a black PCB, the card integrates a 40nm Redwood GPU, 400 Stream processors, a 128-bit memory interface, a core clock of 775MHz and a 1GB of GDDR5 VRAM set @ 4040MHz. The card also supports all the latest technology including DirectX 11, CrossFireX, ATI Eyefinity and has DVI, HDMI as well as DisplayPort outputs. nVidia today unveiled the GeForce 205 graphics card that is perfect for affordable computers, providing users with basic graphics power. This low-end graphics card features 8 CUDA Cores, 589MHz graphics clock, 1402MHz processor clock, and 500MHz memory clock. Sapphire is gearing up to release a new custom graphics card in the form of the Radeon HD 5750 Vapor-X. This Juniper-based GPU integrates 720 Stream Processors, a 128-bit memory interface, a 1GB of GDDR5 memory, a dual-slot cooler that makes use of the vapor chamber technology and comes with several connectivity ports including dual DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort. Not to mention, the card also offers several factory overclocked frequencies – 700MHz for the GPU and 4600MHz for the memory, and supports DirectX 11, CrossFirex as well as ATI Eyefinity. Gigabyte is getting ready to release another overclocked graphics card to its range in the form of the GeForce GT220. Featuring a nice blue PCB, the card integrates a 40nm GT216 GPU, 48 Processing Cores, a 128-bit memory interface, a 1GB of GDDR3 memory, a custom dual-slot cooler with a 80mm fan and factory overclocked frequencies – 720MHz for the GPU, 1567MHz for the shader and 1600MHz for the memory. MSI has officially announced their new top-of-the-line Lightning series graphics card, the N275GTX Lightning. Featuring ‘Military Class’ components, the card is equipped with 240 Processing Cores, a 448-bit memory interface, a core clock of 700MHz (633 MHz stock), a 1792MB of GDDR3 memory set @ 2300MHz (2268MHz), a Twin Frozr II dual-slot cooler, APS (Active Phase Switching) power management technology and V-Check points for easy voltage measurements. These graphics cards integrate a 55nm G92b GPU clocked at 760MHz, 128 Stream Processors, a 256-bit memory interface, a dual-slot Twin Frozr cooler that boasts two dual PWM fans and three copper heatpipes, and factory overclocked frequencies – 1836MHz for the shader and 2300MHz for the memory.
