
Joao Goncalves has designed the Waterfactory Bathroom Project to conserve water. It is actually a set of Corian washstand, toilet and bathtub that includes an electrically powered system for filtering the humid air of the loo and condensing it to water for reuse. BenQ is back with a couple of new Vertical Alignment (VA) LED monitors, the BenQ EW2430 and EW2430V. Both VA LED monitors come jam packed with a 8-bit color panel with a full HD resolution, a 3,000:1 contrast ratio (a 20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio) and BenQ’s Senseye Human Vision technology. HP Compaq is back with four new WLED Backlit LCD monitors, the LE1901wl, LA2006x, LA2206x and LA2306x. The HP Compaq LE1901wl is a 19-inch entry-level display with a mercury-free WLED backlit panel, a 16:10 aspect ratio, a VGA input, and a VESA compatibility. The 20-inch LA2006x, 21.5-inch LA2206x and 23-inch LA2306x monitors feature an ergonomically improved slider stand that provides tilt and swivel adjustments as well as a 90-degree pivot. These LCD monitors also feature a full HD resolution, a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a digital DVI port, DisplayPort and a built-in two USB ports. The VIVA Design Team at the Guangdong University of Technology in China has designed the Green Pass Turnstile concept that combines the functions of a normal turnstile and a renewable energy generator in a sleek package. The turnstile generates electricity when people pass through it. This energy is used to power the turnstile for swiping cards, inserting coins, tickets or counting the number of people etc. Read more
