Konica Minolta is ready to release the world’s first flexible OLED lights sometime later this year. Konica Minolta utilizes a PEN/ITO substrat from Sumitomo chemical. The lifetime of these flexible OLED sheets are about 3000 hours, while the brightness level is 1000 cd/m². Too bad, the pricing info is still unavailable at this time. We will keep you posted. Samsung F4EG EcoGreen 2TB HDD

Samsung Electronics will release the F4EG EcoGreen, an environmentally friendly hard disk drive for the desktop market. The EcoGreen F4EG features a 2-terabyte of storage space (667GB for each of its three disks), which is capable of storing up to 880-hour of DVD video or 500,000 songs in MP3 format. With its three disks and advanced technology, the Samsung F4EG HDD is 19% better in standby time performance and provides 23% lower power consumption in standby mode than the previous model, the Samsung F3EG. Sharp Releases New LED Lamps In Japan

Sharp will launch their latest LED lamps in the Japanese market, including the new Sharp E17-base compact lamp that achieves brightness at the industry’s highest levels. The DL-JA51N E17-base compact lamp produces a brightness level of 500 Lumens and features a luminous efficiency (96 lm/W) at the industry’s highest levels. Casio today released the Green Slim, which is an earth-friendly, low maintenance projector that eliminates the need for a short life mercury lamp. This projector is also claimed as the world’s first high brightness eco-friendly projector. The Green Slim incorporates Casio’s patent pending Hybrid Light Source, which combines Laser and LED technology for amazing high brightness and can last up to 20,000 hours. Here is good news for those who are concerned about environmental issues. Sony today introduced five new Mercury-Free (0%) Mini Alkaline batteries that will be launched in August 2010. These “green” batteries are specially designed for everyday applications, such as watches, calculators, toys and portable game consoles. TMN Releases Green SIM Cards

TMN, a Portuguese carrier, today introduced the world’s first recycled paper SIM card. These green SIM cards will be released with Samsung’s solar-charging Blue Earth handset. Unfortunately, you can’t get the paper SIM with TMN’s other devices just yet, but in the meantime, you can pick up the Blue Earth package for €239 ($318). [TMN]

Folks at Design Hara have creatively designed the HTPC Green PC, which is handcrafted from recyclable cypress wood from Italy or rose wood from Canada, while the front cover is made out of natural sheep leather. The HTPC Green PC is also compatible with small standard motherboards and consumes energy that is 30% lower to your traditional desktop PCs.
