Iomega will be releasing a new 1TB Super eGo external hard drive. It is basically a single one-terabyte HDD featuring a USB 2.0 port and a one-year warranty. The hard drive also comes in a 2TB edition in ruby red, midnight blue or jet black for $269.95.

Now you can use your older 2.5″ hard drives again with $29 for the Addonics Snap-In ExDrive25. It features USB 2.0 and eSATA connectivity. Unfortunately you’ll have to spend $15 for a power adapter. [Gizmodo]

Western Digital has decided to add the new My Book Studio Edition II. It features two RAID 0 drives with an updated My Book Studio design. It comes with GreenPower units, which run cooler and use less power and is HFS+ formatted. You can expect to pay $349 for 1TB and $599 for 2TB. [Prnewswire]

Dubbing and duplicating has just gotten extremely easy with the new DX-20A4PU that comes with dub and files buttons. Opening the drive automatically starts the burning software. Buffalo is dropping a series of external optical devices in Europe. This model features a HD-DVD/Blu-Ray combo drive. The drive can write Blu-Ray discs and reads HD-DVD. Expect Buffalo to launch this drive in March in Europe, price is still unknown.

Iotek has unveiled a new product called the Data Locker portable external hard drive. One unique feature is its touchpad. The touchpad is used to enter the password and also features USB connectivity without using external power. No word on release date or prices right now.
