Sony Singapore Releases HD-EG5 And HD-EG5U Portable HDDs

Sony Singapore today released its new external hard drives, the HD-EG5 and HD-EG5U. Both HDDs provide a 500GB of storage space and the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface. The Sony HD-EG5 and HD-EG5U portable HDDs come equipped with a pre-loaded Data Transfer Accelerator software that accelerates transfer speeds up to three times faster that its competitors. These hard drives also use the Password Protection Manager software, allowing you to protect your important data using advanced AES 256-bit encryption. The Sony HD-EG5U is a higher-end model that supports AV Link function, which makes playback of AVCHD video on a PlayStation 3 quick and easy.
