
Century Japan is ready to release the new CMRK-S2OD multipurpose rack for hard disk drive (HDD) or optical disk drive (ODD). This combo gadget is capable of storing up to two 2.5-inch SSD or HDD as well as an CD/DVD drive or a Blu-ray drive (ODD) in a single 5.25-inch desktop slot. Toshiba Europe today introduced the STOR.E ALU 2S and STOR.E STEEL S external hard disk drives, featuring USB 3.0 connectivity for fast data transfers of up to 5 Gigabits per second. Both STOR.E ALU 2S and STOR.E STEEL S are available in a 2.5-inch hard disk drive model, offering a capacity of up to 1TB. The STOR.E ALU 2S is also available in a 3.5-inch hard disk drive variant with a storage capacity of up to 2TB. Thanks to their metallic casings, these new external hard disk drives are very robust and reliable. Buffalo Technology today launched two multi-drives to add to its USB 3.0 family. Intended for the home or small office, the USB 3.0 DriveStation Duo and DriveStation Quad are high performance, multimedia external hard drives designed for demanding users who want to achieve faster transfer speeds and require greater capacity. The new DriveStation range boasts 10 times faster transfer speeds than USB 2.0, accelerating the time it takes users to back up large servers or multimedia files. Toshiba has unveiled a new external hard drive, the STOR.E ART 4. The external HDD supports the SuperSpeed USB technology (USB 3.0) for super-fast data transfers with a transmission rate of up to 5 Gigabit per second. Available in red, blue, and white graphical accents on a high gloss black finish, the storage device comes pre-loaded with the NTI Backup Now EZ software, which provides fully-customizable backup capabilities, including the option to backup specific folders, certain file types, and to conduct a system backup.
