Onkyo Releases New Blu-ray Player In The US

Here is good news for those who are living in the States because Onkyo has finally launched its latest Blu-ray player in the US market. Known as the DV-BD507, the player supports Deep Color and x.v. color specifications of HDMI 1.3a and can play AVCHD video files stored on SD/SDHC card or DVD-R/RW dics. The DV-BD507 also features BD-Live Profile 2.0 for online interactive content. The Onkyo DV-BD507 is currently available at a suggested retail price of $449. [Akihabara]

Brando has recently released the HD Media Player Docking Station that allows you to play media files via internal HDD, USB storage device or SD(HC), MS Memory card on TV without using computer. The gadget supports video output via HDMI and YpbPr with up to 1080p resolution. Denon AVC-3310 7.1 AV Amplifier

Here is the latest 7.1-channel 180-watts amplifier from Denon that features AL24 Processing Plus and video upscaling capability for DVDs. The amp is compatible with Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, and Dolby Pro Logic IIz as well as supports HD playback via HDMI port. LG XF1 Multimedia Hard Drive

The LG XF1 is the company’s first mobile multimedia hard drive that measures at just 20.8mm thick. The device comes with a 500GB of storage capacity and a codec decoder that only reads exclusively FAT32 and NTFS. It means that the XF1 is not compatible with Mac. There are a composite AV output, a mini-USB jack, and a HDMI connector that enables you to stream HD content straight to your HDTV. Supported video formats include AVI, Xvid and the wide range of MPEGs alongside all popular audio codecs. Sadly, the LG XF1 doesn’t support H.264 and MKV codecs. JVC today showed off the new 32-inch LT-32WX50 LED backlight TV at the CEDIA expo, It has a contrast ratio of 4,000:1 and 90% Adobe RGB color space. Measuring at only 7mm thin, this 32-inch also comes with two HDMI inputs, a PC input, an USB port and an SD memory card slot. The JVC 32-inch LT-32WX50 LED backlight TV retails for £1,900 ($3,124) when it is released in the UK sometime this October/November 2009. [Engadget]

HDMI Licensing today announces the upcoming HDMI 1.4 specification. The new specification will add a data channel to the HDMI cable and will enable high-speed bi-directional communication. The devices will be able to send and receive data via 100 Mb/sec Ethernet and will also add an Audio Return Channel that reduce the number of cables required to deliver audio upstream for processing and playback.
