Habey USA today unveiled its new 12-inch touchscreen rugged PC, the Habey PPC-6512. Powered by a 1.8GHz dual core Intel Atom processor, the computer features a 512MB nVidia ION GT218 graphics card, a 1.3-megapixel camera located on top of the monitor, a 2.5-inch removable hard drive bay fastened by metallic thumb screws for easy removal, and a VESA wall mount. The Habey PPC-6512 can also output dual independent displays via VGA and HDMI ports with a max resolution of up to 2560×1600. MicroVision has introduced its latest pico projector, the ShowWX+HDMI. The portable projector supports a maximum output resolutions up to 848×480, though source devices must support 480p resolution rather than higher standards such as 720p or 1080p. The ShowWX+HDMI features a 15-lumen lamp, an HDMI port, and a connector designed for iOS devices such as the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. There is also a special adapter (sold separately) that allows you to connect this pocket-sized projector with your computer via a VGA connector. Buffalo Japan has rolled out the DVR-1C/500G digital video recorder that comes equipped with a 500GB hard disk. The device provides a USB port for connecting an external hard disk drive to add more recording time. FYI, the 500GB HDD is able to record up to 81-hour of digital terrestrial broadcasting. LG Electronics is ready to release the DM50D 3D Cinema TV in Europe. The 50-inch 3D TV comes with a DTV tuner that supports MPEG4, DVBC, DVBT and other digital TV broadcasting signals. What’s more, the LG DM50D also has an HDMI port, so you can connect it to your 3D Blu-ray player or gaming console. The LG DM50D 3D Cinema TV will be available in Europe next week.
