Iiyama Rolls Out 22 and 24 Inch LCD with HDMI

Japanese manufacturer Iiyama comes back with new entry-level LCDs in the form of the 22 inch ProLite E2209HDS and the 24 inch ProLite B2409HDS. Both LCD screens support Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a brightness of 300cd/m2. What makes these monitors special are that they also provide HDMI, DVI-D, and analog RBG input. The 22 inch ProLite E2209HDS and the 24 inch ProLite B2409HDS are priced at 29800 Yen and 34800 Yen, respectively. [Iiyama]

Onkyo TX-SA706 Powerful 7.1 AV Amplifier

Onkyo today released a new 7.1 AV amplifier that comes with an HDMI 1.3 port. Known as the TX-SA706X, this new amplifier offers five HDMI inputs and one HDMI output supporting 1080p video signals. The device also sports Dolby True HD, DTS-HD Master Audio and provides a maximum output of 200Watts x 7, a frequency response of 5Hz-100,000Hz and includes Audyssey Dynamic EQ Processing. The Medusa hub comes with an HDMI Spec of 1.3, compliant HDCP Rev 1.2 Spec, a wide frequency range of 25MHz – 225MHz, supports 12-bit deep color up to 1080p, CEC support, and an HDMI 3 out port. Honeywell has made an easier way to get ethernet connections. The HDMI to ethernet converter is perfect for all in-wall installations and saves you money on the ethernet cables. You wont have to use long cables which break down the use of them over 4 yards usually for home usage. The only downside to this is that HDMI bandwith requirements are alot more secure, so this might result in a problem.

The device’s purpose is to link 2 HDMI devices to your HDTV with one HDMI port. It then snaps back between the two devices. This device should be available in Europe, Asia, and Australia in March for $50.
