LG Launches Two Wireless HDTVs

LG has announced two new wireless HDTVs for the mass market. The LG 55LHX and the LH85 use a media box to transmit uncompressed full 1080p signals with “virtually” no interference directly to the TV. The TV can receive wireless signals from up to 30 feet away. The 55LHX comes equipped with LED backlighting and a 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio with 240Hz refresh rate, meanwhile, the LH85 provides an 80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The 55LHX will retail for $4799 and the LH85 series will cost for $3,199 for a 55-inch and $2,399 for a 47-inch. [LG]

Sony have officially announced their new BRAVIA HDTVs, the ZX5 series, complete with high-end features including a 240Hz “Flow Motion”, an integrated wireless streaming and an edge-mounted LED backlighting. Measuring at just 16.6mm (52-inch) or 15.8mm (46-inch) thick, the BRAVIA ZX5 also has four HDMI ports, a USB, both ethernet and a telephone port (for the integrated modem), an optical digital out, PC and S-Video, and two 10W speakers. World's Smallest HDMI Hi-Def Photo Player From Hi-Den Vision

Hong Kong-based Hi-Den Vision has recently introduced the HD-0311 that is claimed to be the world’s smallest HDMI Hi-Def Photo Player. The HD-0311 allows playback of the photos on an HDTV at up to 1080p HDMI resolution, and it also lets the user use the remote control to customize the viewing of the photos.
