You’d only need $4,199 to get this brand new 1080p Plasma from Samsung called HP-T5084. This 50 inch plasma TV is the first plasma from Samsung, which features a true high definition resolution of 1920 x 1080. In addition, the company will also launch the 58 inch version for $5,199 in September.

Samsung releases three new HDTV LCD (Samsung LNT4065F, Samsung LNT4665F and Samsung LNT5265F) at CES in Las Vegas. They will be out in March 2007 and features a resolution of 1920×1080, a contrast ratio of 12 000:1 and support for HDMI version 1.3. No word yet on pricing.

Iiyama released the ProLite C2010WTV-B1, a new 20 inch LCD TV with a 1366×768 resolution, 450cd/m2 brightness, a 700:1 ratio for contrast, and 8ms response time. Priced at around $580, this LCD TV has a digital and analogical TV tuner, and an HDMI port (1080i only).

Sony’s new 70 inches Bravia LCD TV provides a brighter image than the previous models because it utilities a LED backlight. In addition, this new LCD TV is “Full HD†which means it supports a 1080p resolution. Too bad, the product demonstration was featuring a poor-quality video blown up to 70 inch.

Korean Giant Samsung claims its new 22-inch CX225MD to be a “Full-HD†support LCD screen. However, it only offers 1680 x 1050 native resolution, instead of the correct 1920 x 1080 (1080p). On the plus side, the screen features an usual 5ms response time, HDMI, component inputs, an HDCP-enabled DVI port, and a built-in TV tuner. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced. Sharp has two 32 inch Full HD LCD TVs with a 1920×1080 resolution, including the LC-32GS10 with the speakers at the bottom, and the LC-32GS20 with speakers on each side. Both TVs are equipped with the Black ASV technology, which allows a 2000:1 ratio for contrast, 450cd/m2 brightness, a 176° viewing angle.
