
Sharp today rolled out AQUOS DX series, which is known as the first LCD TVs with built-in Blu Ray Disc Recorders in the world. The series consists of 16 new models from 26-Inch to 52-Inch screen sizes. All models are compatible with BD-RE V2.1 (Single / Dual layer), BD-R 1.1 (Single / Dual Layer) recordable disc, and most of available playable disc. These HDTVs also feature Digital W Tuner, that allows you to watch TV while you are recording your favorite programs. Its Kameyama LCD Panel provides smooth picture quality. The Samsung LE52A656 is touted as one of the best 52-inch LCD HDTVs on the market today. This 52-inch monitor is a full HD 1080p 52-inch Ultra Clear LCD panel that comes with multiple layers of high and low levels of reflection to produce a good viewing in all lighting conditions. The LCD adopts 100Hz Motion Plus technology to eliminate motion blur and enhanced the sharpness of the picture. Here is good news for you. The pricing details for Sharp’s sexiest HDTVs has been unveiled. The 65-inch LC-65XS1U-S is priced at a whopping $12,225. Meanwhile, the 52-inch LC-52XS1U-S retails for $9,243. These HDTVs are actually the thinnest LCD (liquid crystal display) TV sets yet produced by the company. We didn’t go to CEATEC 2008, but those who did spotted this 15mm thin 37-inch HDTV from Hitachi. While details are blurry, this 1,920 x 1,080 panel comes with a nicely designed stand and rumored to be in production sometime in 2009. Kinda makes our bedroom LCD TV look fat and overweight heh. [Engadget]

Philips has released its new Flavors line of LCD TVs with the interchangeable frames that are available in 22 inch, 32 inch and 42 inch. The 42 inch variant offers Full HD resolution (1080p), 30,000:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time, 500cd/m2 brightness and two HDMI ports. The 22 inch, 32 inch and 42 inch models are priced at €549, €799 and €1,199, respectively. Each purchase of these new Flavors line of LCD TVs also comes with two interchangeable frames. If you are looking for a new Full HD LCD screen, then check out the new 22 inch LCD monitor from Buffalo. The Buffalo FTD-HD2232HSR/BK will be released very soon and provides a WUXGA resolution (1,920×1,200 pixels), a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, a brightness of 300cd/m², a viewing angle of 170°, and a response time of 5ms. Mitsubishi’s 65-inch LaserVue 1080p rear-projection HDTV is priced at a hefty $7,000.The TV will be released later this month. Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing for its 73-inch version. As a reminder, the LaserVue is a laser-based HDTV, which uses an array of red, green, and blue lasers to project its image onto the screen. It seems that Dell is serious in the HDTV LCD monitor market. The company has recently released a new 24 inch 16:9 display in the form of the Dell S2409W. It supports 1920 x 1080 resolution, contrast ratio of 1000:1, horizontal/vertical viewing angles of 160° / 170° and has HDMI, DVI and VGA connections. The Dell S2409W retails for $349. [UberGizmo]

Japanese manufacturer JVC released two super slim LCD TVs during CEDIA 2008. These monitors measures at just 1.5 inch thick with a maximum depth of just 2.9-inches at the panel’s center. Available in 42-inch (LT-42SL89) and the 46-inch (LT-46SL89), the JVC’s LCD HDTV retails for €1300 and €1650, respectively. [Akihabara]
