Hitachi comes back with a new line of LifeStudio hard drives that provide several innovative features and a powerful software. Designed for both Mac and PC users, the Hitachi LifeStudio series features a cool new software called 3D Wall that automatically pulls together and organizes your photos, videos, music and documents from your computer, any connected USB device or your social media outlets. What’s more, these external hard drives also come equipped with the Hitachi LifeStudio content management app and Hitachi Backup software. The Hitachi LifeStudio will be available at retail and online stores in mid-July 2010. Ultra-thin 320GB HDD From Hitachi

Hitachi has recently rolled out the Z7K320, which is the thinnest member of the Travelstar series. Measuring 7mm thin and weighing 95grams, the Travelstar Z7K320 is claimed to be the world’s first 7200rpm, 7mm 2.5-inch drive for high-performance compact systems and devices. HLDS HyDrive Optical Drive With A Built-in SSD

Hitachi-LG Data Storage Inc. (HLDS) today announced the HyDrive, which is known as the world’s first solid state drive (SSD) embedded ODD. Available in a 32GB and a 64GB of storage capacities, the first generation of the HyDrive is going to be available in August 2010, installed on the Family PC 102 series from Moneual. The bigger 256GB model with SATA 6.0Gbps interface will be released next year. What makes the HLDS HyDrive interesting is that it also supports Blu-ray disc. The Hydrive is able to read BD-ROM-R/RE (SL/DL) at 4.8x, DVD-ROM (SL /DL) at 8x, DVD+R/-R/RW at 8x, and DVD+R/-R DL at 6x. On the other hand, writing speeds are 8x for DVD+R/-R/RW, 4x for DVD+R/-R DL and 24x for CD-R/RW. [CDRInfo]

Hitachi Maxell Laminated Li-ion Battery

Hitachi Maxell Ltd has recently exhibited the laminated lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery at the 1st Int’l Rechargeable Battery Expo in Tokyo. Known as the “IMS65142235″, this battery is currently under development. Its rated capacity, nominal voltage, final voltage and maximum current are 10Ah, 3.7V, 2.75V and 30A, respectively. Measuring 6.5mm x 142mm x 235mm, the Hitachi Maxell Laminated Li-ion Battery will be used for the power supplies of electric bikes, automated guided vehicles, and uninterrupted power supply systems. Two New Wooo LCD TVs From Hitachi

Hitachi has added two new LCD TVs to its Wooo series by announcing the 22-inch L22-HP05 and 26-inch L26-HP05. Both TVs support a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and feature 400 cd/m2 brightness, a 250GB of HDD for recording your favorite TV programs, two BS/110 degree CS digital TV tuners, DLNA support and 170 degree viewing angle. No to mention, they also come with two 10-Watt stereo speakers and a range of connectivity ports including 3 HDMI, S-Video, D4 and Ethernet. The L22-HP05 and L26-HP05 will become available in Japan starting on March 3rd for 110,000 Yen (about $1,220) and 130,000 Yen (about $1,442), respectively. [Akihabara]

Hitachi 2TB External Hard Drive With Turbo USB 2.0 Interface

Hitachi has upgraded its SimpleDrive external hard drive series by releasing the 2TB model. Priced at $249.99, the Hitachi 2TB SimpleDrive boasts a Turbo USB 2.0 interface, which is reported to be 25% faster than traditional USB 2.0 interface. This vertical external hard drive is also available in 500GB and 1TB versions. The 500GB model is priced at $99.99, meanwhile the 1TB model retails for $129.99. Hitachi Travelstar 7K500 500GB Hard Drive

Hitachi has recently unveiled the Travelstar 7K500, a 2.5-inch 500GB hard disk (7200rpm) that is specially build for laptops. The hard disk drive is ideal for multitasking, gaming and graphic-intensive applications on notebooks, gaming systems and professional external storage solutions. The Hitachi Travelstar 7K500 also consumes less power. In Idle mode, the drive uses only 0.69W and that goes to 1.8W during a read/write (0.5W/1.4W for the 5400rpm version). [Hitachi]

World's First 2TB 7200RPM HDD From Hitachi

Hitachi has finally launched the world’s first 7200RPM 2TB hard drive for the mass market. The 2TB Deskstar 7K2000 combines high performance and high capacity with low power and other eco-friendly features designed to enable Energy-Star rated computers and other high performance desktop systems. Hitachi HP-CN12 Bean Earphones

The Hitachi HP-CN12 bean-shaped ear canal earphones are available in eight different colors. These earphones work on a frequency zone of 20Hz – 22kHz and deliver and impedance of 16-Ohms. The HP-CN12 also features a slider that adjusts the length of the wire and prevents it from entangling. These unique earphones will be launched in Japan on July 24th, 2009 for 1500 Yen ($17).
