JVC is ready to release their latest home theater audio system in the Japanese market later this month. Measuring 1.2-inch thick, the AX-FT amplifier and SP-FT speakers are thin enough to be hung on a wall or stood up on its stand on a bookshelf. This ultra thin home theater combo produces 4×20W output power and supports both Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound formats. The JVC AX-FT amplifier retails for $270, while the SP-FT speaker system is priced at $224. [JVC]
Zvox has announced a new home theater system called the IncrediBase 575. The system features five 2-inch full-range speakers, a 133-watt amplifier, and dual 6.5-inch long-extrusion subs inside a single cabinet, which can be placed under a flat screen TV. It can produce sounds levels similar to a full 5.1 surround sound system. The Zvox uses the PhaseCue virtual surround technology to create 3D surround sound from the cabinet. Vivitek today introduced a new member from its projector series. Dubbed as the H1080FD, this projector features a native 1080p (1920×1080) resolution, a 1,800 lumens of brightness and a contrast ratio of 5,000:1. Other connectivity options include two HDMI ports, Composite Video, S-Video, Component Video, RS-232c and a 12v Trigger. Each lamp has a life of 3,000 hours with a noise level of 29dB. It incorporates a DLP® chipset from Texas Instruments to ensure the digital images don’t fade or degrade over time. The H1080FD home theater projector will be available in August 2009 through authorized Vivitek retailers, dealers and distributors. Sony today released a new home theater system HT-CT500 which consists of a sound bar and a subwoofer. Sony’s HT-CT500 provides 3.1 channels, 400 watts (RMS) of power, three HD 1080p HDMI inputs, two component inputs, and other audio inputs. This home theater system also features Digital Media Port (DMP) connections to link effectively with external audio sources to the system. Other features include an icon-based menu and Faroudja’ DCDi Cinema chip that upscales all video near high definition quality and up-convert analog audio / video signals to HDMI. Sony has finally released its new high-end home theater. The Sony Bravia BDV-IT1000 All-in-One Blu-ray home theater system features several cool specifications including 700W of total power, slim speakers with finger-sized full-range drive units, wireless rear speakers, two HDMI inputs and support for Dolby Digital Plus, TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. LG will be releasing a new home theater system called the HT953TVP Xcanvas. It not only comes with a DVD player with 1080p scaling, it also features an Mp3 player, as well as VSM or Virtual Sound Matric which simulates an 10.1 audio system. Sony will be launching the 2.1 BRAVIA DAV-F200 home theater system in Europe. It features S-Master digital amplification, S-Force front surround technology, an integrated DVD player, support for MP3 / photo / DivX discs, 1080p upscaling over HDMI, and a built-in USB port for listening to WMA / AAC files along with optical / coaxial digital inputs.
