
Procella Audio today launched the P15 long-throw 15-inch subwoofer, which is aimed at large home cinemas, commercial cinemas and larger rooms (up to 3,000 cubic feet). The active subwoofer features dual 15-inch drivers, which are individually powered by 350-watt amplifiers and 28bit/56 bit ADI Sigma DSP controls. The Bose VideoWave Entertainment System merges sound and picture like never before, delivering cinematic performance from invisible speakers built into an HD display. This integrated system also eliminates a roomful of speakers, wires and complexity. The VideoWave consists of 46-inch 1080p LCD TV, a separate console connected by a proprietary Bose cable, an iPod dock, and a remote control. The system provides a total of 16 speakers, which include six subwoofers and a new Bose-developed technology called PhaseGuide that sends high-frequency sound from the set to every corner of the room, creating sound that originates from the TV but that you hear coming from around and behind you. Onkyo today introduced their latest 3D-ready and THX-certified HT-S9300 home theater in a box (HTiB) in the US market. The system consists of seven theater loudspeakers, a subwoofer for deep-bass sound effects, and an audio-video receiver that is fully compatible with state-of-the-art HD video players and video displays, including all the latest 3D technologies. The Onkyo HT-S9300 receiver provides four 3D-Ready HDMI 1.4a inputs for connection to modern audio/video source components. Onkyo has launched a couple of new 3D-ready Home Theater in a Box (HTiB) setups namely the Onkyo HT-6300 and HT-7300. Both of these home theater systems come with four 3D-ready HDMI 1.4a inputs and handle upscaling to 1080p via the Faroudja DCDi Cinema processor. The Onkyo HT-6300 and HT-7300 are currently available for $750 and $900, respectively. [HotHardware]

Philips has recently unveiled the Immersive Sound home theatre system that consists of five satellites, a subwoofer, and a base unit. Each satellite speakers contains a trio of speakers, with one pointed forwards while the other two are angled to the left and to the right. The base unit also integrates a Blu-ray/DVD player, and has DLNA functionality allowing you to stream content from your PC. The Philips Immersive has an aluminum finish, and will only consume 0.3Watt of power when in standby mode. There is no info on pricing so far. [Gizmodo Greek]

The Philips HTS8160B Bluray Soundbar is now available in Singapore. This home theater system consists of a Blu-ray disc player, a separate subwoofer, and the Ambisound HD speakers system that boasts Dolby True HD audio format and 7.1-channel surround sound. The HTS8160B is also compatible with the iPod/iPhone. If you are interested, you should have at least $1,500 in your pocket. The release date for the North American market is still unknown. The latest XCanvas home theater from LG is available in two different settings. The HT964TZ (5.1ch) and HT564DG (2.1ch) come with a unique form of a glass of champagne and red wine color. Both models support only DVDs and LG’s state of the art upscalling technology. No word on pricing so far but with looks like that one would expect some Blu-ray action. [Akihabara]

Samsung has now announced budget version of its earlier Blu-ray Home Theatre System. HT-BD2E comes with 5.1 Channel System, 800 watts of total power. It has four satellite speakers, one center speaker and a passive subwoofer. Priced at $800, at almost half their first Blu-ray Home Theatre System HT-BD2T. Expected to ship in August. [BLU-RAY]
