
HP Compaq today unveiled their latest 15.6 laptop that is aimed at first PC buyers or users who do basic computing tasks like web, music, email and watching DVD. Priced at $399, the HP Compaq CQ61 is powered by a 2GHz AMD Sempron M100 processor with an ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics, a 2GB of RAM, a WXGA LCD screen, a 160GB HDD, a DVD burner, and Windows 7 Home Premium. HP will be launching two new business desktops called the HP Compaq dc5850 and dx2450 Business Desktop PCs. They both support “next-generation AMD Business Class processors” which is the Athlon X2, Phenom X3 and Phenom X4, slots / ports. The dc5850 comes with integrated ATI Radeon 3100 graphics, AMD’s Cool’n'Quiet 2.0 technology, 8GB of RAM, an optional dual-drive RAID setup and a dual-layer DVD writer. The dx2450 features NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE graphics, 4GB of RAM and up to 500GB of SATA HDD space. You can get the dc5850 in early May for $599 and the dx2450 now for $369. [HP]

HP Korea today released its 12-inch ultra slim convertible tablet PC in Korea. Known as the HP Compaq 2710p, it comes loaded with Intel Core 2 Duo processor U7600 and Illumi-Lite display technology for lightweight design and low power consumption. Other features include 2.1MP camera for video conference and video instant messaging, and optional business card scan function. Pricing info is still unavailable. Watch the video to get more details.
