
According to CENS, Inventec has received orders from HP to start producing 400,000 to 450,000 TouchPad tablets. The company has been reported to be supplying HP with a 7-inch tablet that will be released in August 2011. Too bad, there is no further info about the 7-inch tablet. Stay tuned for more updates. HP has just announced the availability of their new ‘WiFi Mobile Mouse‘ in the US via its online store. HP has just announced the availability of their new SFF business PC ‘100B’ in the US. This space-saving machine has a starting price of $259. In terms of specs, it comes with a 1GHz AMD E-350 dual-core processor, an AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics card, up to 4GB DDR3 RAM, up to 1TB hard drive, a SuperMulti DVD drive, a 6-in-1 media card reader and runs on Windows 7 OS. HP has confirmed that the WiFi-only version of its TouchPad will go on sale in the US on July 1st. The 16GB model will have a retail price of $499, while the 32GB model will cost $599 (pre-orders begin June 19th). HP today introduced an ultra-thin LCD monitor that measures at only 9.8mm thick. Weighing at 7.7Lbs, the HP x2301 features a 1980×1080 (1080p) resolution with a 8,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a 3ms GtG response time, and BrightView technology. The x2301 is also mercury- and arsenic-free with Energy Star 5.0 and EPEAT Silver certifications. Additionally, this LCD display can also represent 72% of the color gamut. HP is about to unleash another Full HD monitor ‘Elite L2201x’ for the mass market. Measuring just 0.4 inches thick, this ultra-thin 21.5-inch LED-backlight monitor provides 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 5,000:1 contrast ratio and 250 cd/m2 brightness, and features a DisplayPort connector. HP has just added another desktop workstation to its range by launching the Z210. Coming in two different form-factors: convertible mini-tower (CMT) and highly-compact small form-factor (SFF), both of these models can be equipped with either an Intel Xeon E3 series or second-generation Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processor, an integrated (Intel) or discrete (NVIDIA or AMD) graphics card and multiple SSDs or HDDs. HP’s CEO Leo Apotheker has confirmed at the most recent HP Summit that the TouchPad would be available starting June 2011. This gadget will be released in the US first, with global availability to follow shortly.
