
It seems that HTC will release a new smartphone in the near future, which is knows as the HTC Touch HD2. It is actually a successor to the famous HTC Touch HD. The smartphone will use Google Android as its OS and will come with a faster 628MHz processor. Sadly, we can’t find picture of the new handset so far. Stay tuned for more updates. HTC has officially unveiled their third Android smartphone in the form of the HTC Hero. This new smartphone is packed with a 3.2-inch fingerprint-resistant touchscreen display with 320 x 480 pixels, a 5MP camera with autofocus, HTC’s latest Sense UI, an accelerometer sensor, Android 1.5 OS, Google Maps, Google Streetview and various other Google apps / services, GPS, WiFi, a microSDHC card slot, a 3.5mm headset jack and supports GSM as well as HSDPA connectivity. The unlocked version of HTC Touch Pro2 is now available in the States. The phone comes with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2MP digicam with auto-focus, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, a microSD (HC) card slot, an FM radio with RDS and a 528Mhz Qualcomm CPU. The HTC Touch Diamond2 will be released in Taiwan sometime later this month. HTC offers this new handset for a hefty $650 (after conversion) with an 8GB microSDHC memory card. The highly anticipated HTC Touch Diamond is finally here and set to be launched by Verizon Wireless starting tomorrow, April 10th, via online and through business channels. As a reminder, the handset is equipped with a 2.76-inch touchscreen display with TouchFLO 3D, 3.2 megapixel camera, Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS, microSD card slot (up to 16GB), GPS and Bluetooth connectivity. Here’s the latest Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone ‘HTC Snap’ from HTC, which was announced yesterday at the 2009 CTIA Wireless. This new smartphone boasts the new Inner Circle feature, which according to HTC, “makes it easy for users to prioritize messages from the most important people in their lives at the press of a button.” Other interesting features include full QWERTY keyboard, 2.4-inch display, 2MP camera, 528MHz Qualcomm CPU, 256MB of ROM, 128MB of RAM, a microSDHC card slot, GPS/AGPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, quadband GSM and dualband HSDPA/WCDMA. The HTC Snap will be available starting the second quarter of 2009, however in US the HTC Snap will be made available under the name HTC S522 (unlocked and with HSDPA 850/1900MHZ connectivity). More

Australia’s Telstra will release the HTC Touch HD Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone on February 10th, 2009. The HTC Touch HD WVGA touchscreen handset will be available exclusively through Telstra stores and dealers for $1499 with no contract. [HTC via Upcoming Cell Phones]

Here is good news for HTC Touch HD owner who has a problem with the smartphone’s screen that sometimes stops responding for about 3 to 5 seconds when running an application that needs to use the stylus to click the screen repeatedly within a short time. HTC has released a hotfix for the HTC Touch HD that fixes this problem. Remember that this update is only for HTC Touch HD owners with a ROM version that is less than 1.19.xxx.x.
