
Sprint has finally released the new HTC Touch Pro smartphone. The customers can purchase this handset via online early next week. Or they can also buy it on the Sprint stores on November 2nd, 2008 for $299.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. The HTC Touch HD is claimed to be the best smartphone in the market today and one of the iPhone 3G killer. HTC has announced the official release date of November 6th, 2008. As a reminder, the HTC Touch HD measures 11.5cm x 6.3cm x 1.2cm and weights at 146 grams. The handset features a 3.8 inch screen, a 5MP camera with autofocus, TouchFLO 3D interface, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, microSD/SDHC storage, integrated GPS/AGPS and sports Quad Band GSM and WCDMA/HSDPA. The upcoming HTC T8290 smartphone has been unveiled. The handset is specially designed for Russia’s Yota WiMAX network. Some of the unveiled features are a 3.8 inch display at 800 x 480 resolution, 802.11g Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, GSM and WiMAX support. The pricing info is still unavailable. The handset sports Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, 2.8-inch VGA (640×480) touchscreen with HTC’s “Touch FLO” interface, a 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera, a 528MHz processor by Qualcomm, a 4GB of storage, a 128MB of RAM and a microSD slot. HTC and Nic Wong of Nicholas have collaborated to create four limited edition HTC Touch. These PDA phones are being auctioned on eBay for the charity with all proceeds going straight to the Children’s Cancer Foundation (in Singapore).
