T3 provides us a first look at the AT&T Tilt AKA HTC Kaiser / T-Mobile MDA Vario III. The smartphone is powered by Windows Mobile 6 Professional and features quad-band EDGE, tri-band UMTS/HSDPA, a 3MP autofocus shooter, integrated GPS, WiFI, Bluetooth, and a full QWERTY keyboard.

The HTC’s executive director for Middle East and North Africa confirmed that four upcoming smartphones to be announced in September. New HTC smartphones will be announced during the upcoming GITEX Technology event in Dubai starting from 8th September. Four models will be presented including the HTC Nike and HTC TyTN II.

HTC has released 500 units of HTC Touch in wasabi green color for the Taiwan market. FYI, the handset supports TouchFLO, a 3-D user interface that allows users to move through on-screen options by sweeping their fingers across the screen, or scrolling up and down using a fingertip. Qwest is the first American carrier to adopt the HTC S720, a QWERTY slider phone which originally came to North America via Canada’s Telus. The HTC S7220 (or the Fusion 5800) features Windows Mobile 6 operating system, a microSD slot, and a 2MP shooter. The handset also sports stereo Bluetooth, allowing wireless music uses. The phone is currently available for $200, with data plans running from $20 a month for 35MB to $40 for 100MB.

Looks like Google is working with Taiwan’s High Tech Computer (HTC) Corp to steal iPhone’s crown from Apple. Google is choosing HTC because its track record with a large number of Microsoft Windows powered devices over the years, and their great speced hardware. The Wall Street Journals reported that Google has spent hundreds of millions of dollars in this project and has courted US and European mobile operators to launch in Q1 2008. It’s really about time for open-source technology to own the market, talking about end-user freedom from a company that “does no evil”.

According to a statement issued by HTC Europe, the firm will upgrade its HTC P3300, S620 and Advantage with the Windows Mobile 6 operating system in August. To get the free OS upgrade, HTC users need to register for an account to access the “My Downloads†section of HTC eClub.

In case you didn’t know, the phone provides a 2.8-inch (240 x 320) touchscreen display, 2.0MP shooter, TI OMAP 850(201MHz)processor, 128MB ROM, 64MB RAM, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, EDGE, microSD card slot (1GB included), and Windows Mobile 6 Professional operating system. HTC has rolled out the new P6300 PDA device for the enterprise market. The gadget features Windows Mobile Pocket PC Edition, a large 3.5 inch QVGA touch screen display, Tri-band GSM/ GPRS, WiFi, Bluetooth and IrDA. No word on pricing so far.
