
InFocus has decided to release the IN5100 series projector next month. The projector provides native WXGA resolution (XGA on the 5102/5106), brightness from 4,000 to 5,000 lumens, 1,000:1 contrast ratio and dual stereo speakers. Looks as though Infocus will be launching their new IN83 projector later this month for about $6,000. The IN83 features a DarkChip4 DLP chip, 5,000:1 contrast ratio, 1,600 ANSI lumens, HDMI 1.3, Pixelworks DNX 10-bit video processing and 2.35:1 Cinemascope / widescreen aspect ratio support.
